MARAH APAN ELIM AH
Lehkhabu
khat apan hoih kasakna lai ahi bangbang in kon koih ding:
“But we will not
always drink the bitter cup. God will do what He did for Moses and the
Israelites in Exodus 15. On their march from Egypt they came to a place called Marah.
It was called Marah because the water there was bitter, and the people became
bitter because of it, and griped to Moses. But Moses cried out to the LORD, and
the LORD showed him a tree; and he threw it into the waters, and the waters
became sweet.
And then God led them
to Elim where there were twelve springs of waters (that’s one for every tribe),
and seventy date palms (that’s one for every elder), and they camped there
beside the waters.
By the way, Elim was
only about five miles from Marah. Marah today; Elim tomorrow. Bitterness today;
sweetness tomorrow”.
